Resistance committees were formed in the midst of the great Sudanese revolution in mid-December 2018, as an extension of the popular committees in the neighborhoods. Here we publish our statements and positions in the continuing struggle to stop the war and establish people’s power.

Freedom for every Sudanese person’s right to speak, organize and protest peacefully, without repression or guardianship.

Peace
Stop the war, protect civilians, and bring the displaced and refugees safely back to their homes.

Justice
Justice for the martyrs and accountability for every crime against our people. We will not forget, we will not forgive.
About us
Grassroots committees from the heart of the neighborhoods
Resistance committees have been formed in the midst of the great Sudanese revolution since mid-December 2018. They are an extension of popular committees and organizations in the neighborhoods that kept the spark of the revolution alive throughout the NCP’s rule since its takeover in June 1989.
The resistance committees are a unique and creative form in the history of the Sudanese people, and perhaps of the world, with their peaceful work, collective decision-making and commitment to enforce those decisions.
