We present to you our work effort in the framework of establishing the joint work structure for Khartoum’s coordination.

A series of workshops were organized amongst the coordinations of the Khartoum Resistance Committees in order to develop an organizational structure for better coordination of revolutionary activity and to unify efforts within an integrative framework.
The first workshop was held on May 14, 2022, where the first phase was completed, which included reaching proposals regarding the tasks of the five main executive offices. A proposal for a mechanism for linking between these offices was developed:

1. Field Office
2. Media Office
3. Liaison Office
4. Finance Office
5. Political Office

Immediately after each workshop, the minutes and conclusions were communicated to the base committees in order to give information and share perspectives.

As for the second phase, which is about to commence, it entails holding joint grassroots workshops with representatives of the grassroots committees of the city of Khartoum in order to broaden the discussion on a number of issues that can only be resolved through continuous deliberation and then decision-making by the grassroots committees, as this is an crucial matter. And the adoption of all that has been done and will be done is contingent upon the approval of the grassroots.

In conclusion, the resistance committees’ decision-making reliance on the horizontal work structure and the avoidance of centralizing it establishes a new form of political practice predicated on expanding the base of participation in order to establish the first pillars of local governance.
