Joint Press Release | March For The Detainees

The human being is no different from the rest of existence and the various species on the earth’s surface and the space of the sky except that he has a free mind. Human freedom is the most important existential issue. It serves as the foundation for assignment, choice, contract, litigation, and accountability as a reward and punishment. And the abolition of freedom means the destruction of the same human being, so you are either free or not fundamentally human.

It was not arbitrary or coincidental for the December Revolution, which came as an extension of humanity’s march throughout history towards liberation from the clutches of darkness to the light, to place freedom at the forefront of its slogan alongside peace and justice.

The issue of freedom topped the goals of the slogans of the revolution as aresult of the Islamist regime’s policies of restriction, blackout, violence, arrest, and the systematic absence of the will of the Sudanese people, which prevented the most basic human rights in freedom of expression, objection and expression of opinion.

And in an attempt to return the country to its previous dark era, the coup authorities are still practicing the deprivation of freedom and the same reckless and irresponsible policies against the peaceful revolutionaries and fabricating charges against them, and not benefiting from the history record and the fate of those who preceded them, unable to answer the question that poses itself: When you enslaved revolutionaries and their mothers had born them free?!

We invite you to continue the revolution’s journey and to stand in solidarity with the detainees, the tortured, and the unjustly accused in the prisons of cowards.

To march out tomorrow in the millions march for the detainees to the palace of the government that’s occupied by the tyrant and his supporters, assuring the martyrs and detainees that we will continue our pursuit of the principles that we have covenanted with them, not neutral or retreating, adhering to our peace, proceeding until the achievement of all its goals.

The tracks of the processions will be published through the field committees in the neighborhoods and through the official pages of the resistance committees.
